Connecting Diaspora entrepreneurs to entrepreneurs in Turkey.

TurkishWIN TechConnect is a special mentoring program of the Turkish Women’s International Network (TurkishWIN). TurkishWIN connects tech or biotech entrepreneurs with a mentor who will provide ongoing, one-on-one support for one year. Mentors are selected from TurkishWIN’s global network and matched based on the entrepreneur’s goals, needs, and interests.

Our goal is help entrepreneurs scale their businesses globally by connecting them with mentors from the Diaspora (or with Diaspora experience) as accelerators.

Turkish Women’s International Network is a global member network inspiring and connecting women with cultural, family or professional ties to Turkey with chapters in Istanbul, New York, Boston, London and San Francisco.

How will it work?

The entrepreneur and the mentor pair will have eight sessions in twelve months. In the first session the entrepreneur will outline where she/he is with the business and where he/she would like to go. In the second session, the team will establish and agree on an action plan with check-in milestones. The rest of the sessions will constitute check-ins. Most of the sessions will be conducted via Skype or phone.

The program will enroll 80% women and 20% men as fellows. We are looking for tech or biotech entrepreneurs that will bring the next generation technologies into the global marketplace.

TurkishWIN TechConnect is a complimentary program for TurkishWIN members and community. TurkishWIN does not take equity in participating companies.

We would love to hear from you. If you would like to join TurkishWIN TechConnect as a partner/mentor or simply give us feedback, please contact us at info@turkishwin.com

2013-2014 application period closed on October 4, 2013. Please subscribe to TurkishWIN news for updates and call for 2014-2015 applications at TurkishWIN.com
